A&J Meats and Seafood first opened its doors to the public in 1951 and is old school in the best possible way - complete with a 50-foot counter. They honor special requests - cracking ham hocks and pounding out veal cutlets with the best of them - and if you don't know what you want, they have menu ideas and wisdom to spare.
Owner Rick Friar bought the business in 1989 from the original owners, his father, Jerry Friar, and Al Ploe. Rick remains committed to the fundamentals - quality meat and good service. A&J Meats and Seafood doesn't even have a website - but they don't need one - their standing rib roast sells out before Christmas every single year.
