Remo Borracchini's father, Mario, immigrated to Seattle in 1921. In 1923, he opened Borracchini's Bakery to serve freshly baked bread to the Italian community in Rainier Valley. Now, almost 90 years later, Borracchini's is still baking over fifty varieties of breads every day. But that's just the beginning. Imported specialty foods, the city's most famous wedding cakes, ice cream, fresh deli products and Italian cooking ready-to-go, Remo's is a taste of the old country right on north Rainier.
